Erixx Termly Meeting – 28.01.10

As a note, from now on all meetings will be done per term. This isdue to them being more beneficial, however there will still be updates of recent developments on the blog.

This meeting was, in a word, big. Not only did we get a lot of great ideas out in the open (which is what this blog is all about!) but all of the team now know where we are with certain client. In terms of the minutes for employees, there has been a slight change in writing. This change is that everyone will know EXACTLY what they are doing.

Now, onto the marketing. The team has now confirmed a budget of which we can spend on marketing. As a lot of the ideas we have decided on are fairly cheap, this budget should be more than enough. The ideas that are being considored are as follows:

• Local Radio
• On-the-walls: being posters, business cards and leaflets
• Advertising in local newspapers
• Letters to local  schools and businesses
• Presentation to the schools  SMT

For the above ideas, the company has also considored where the campaign will be based. The advertising will be around the B&NES area, with some limited coverage of Bristol.

The team is also pleased to give Nethan Reakes the “Employee of  term” award (before named the Employee of the month, but changed because of different meeting times).  There will soon be a “Wall of fame” page which will show everyone that has recieved an award, which can be expected in a couple of months.

The next Erixx meeting will be held on the first thursday of the easter holidays. However, expect delays of blog posting because of moving into the new school!

Erixx – New Years update (21/1/10)

It has been a while since Eirxx posted some news about the company has doing, though the staff cannot be blamed because of the “fantastic” sheet of snow the roofs (and roads) of the South West were blessed with. Now the now has gone, and its back to work.

Recently, the company has been concentrating on the thing that really matters to any web desigjn business – advertising. Our new years’ resolution is to make people more aware of Erixx, as many other designers are eating companies away with simply unworthy sites. Among other things that the company is doing to make this possible, Erixx is soon to be on Google Adwords; so get used to seeing us in your search a lot more soon!

Aside from this, more site designs are in the process of being put on the Portfolio. So check our Portfolio page for great designs to choose from.

While we are talking about site improvements, quote information will be available online, giving everyone a quick overview of how much certain features of the site will cost.

The next Erixx meeting will be held on the 28th of March. Expect an update soon after!

Company Meeting – 3/12/09

This week, the team did something a little different, that would hopefully help the company in terms to marketing. For most of the session, the team thought of ideas that the company could use to get the name Erixx heard of.

One of the best ideas that the team came up with is aside from making websites, video podcasts could be made so not only will this help the other budding designers out there, but also it will get the name of the company known, if the service can be offered by larger internet companies like iTunes and Amazon music downloads.

In terms of work with other small companies that Erixx are dealing with, they are still doing updates for Welton and they are waiting for other companies to deliver more details so the company can move forward in the project.

The next meeting will be held after Christmas.

Employee of the month goes to Daniel Wiltshire

Congratuations to Dan Wiltshire, who won the employee of the term award for the amount of effort he puts into the company. He has recieved a certificate and a £5 Amazon voucher.

Company Meeting – 5/10/09

In this meeting, the company discussed many things that the company needs to do in the next few weeks.

The first item on the adgenda was Marketing, with a lot of the staff thinking it needed an extra “push” to get more people in the group. So that we can accomplish this, the team will have a meeting in a few weeks that will be concentrating especially on different forms of advertising.

In terms of finance, the financial manager is glad to report we have a good amount of money within the company.

Congratulations to Dan Wiltshire, who won the “employee of the term” award for this month.

Company Meeting – 24/9/09

Even though Dean and Chris were not present during the meeting, Erixx discussed many important issues that the comapny needed to address.

We discussed progress with two active clients with seperate deadlines being issued for each.

In terms of recruitment, we are delighted to welcome five new members to the team.

Advertising was also discussed in the meeting. All of the ideas need to be confirmed at a later date. Some good examples of advertising is our buisness cards and leaflets.

Company Meeting – 01/09/09

Apart from a few of the employees, the Erixx team sat down to a productive, but lengthly company meeting.

One of the most important items in the meeting were the newly-assigned roles given to most of the staff in the company. It has now been confirmed Ben Pearson will take the main role of marketing and advertising, while Haiden Albrow is in charge of all things considored finance in the company. Perhaps the most important job in the company was given to Hugh Whetherly, who is in charge of recriument of potential new members of the business.

The advert for Erixx was also discussed between employees, with small changes (font colours and size, etc) being confirmed for correction. The advert should be ready by 10th September 2009, ready for it to be published in the next issue of the Dragonflyer.

The team also heard news of the first invoice from welton primary, with this being the first payment the company will make. However, the invoice cannot be paid until the start of the school term, and their subscription is cancelled with the older web host. Aside from this, Erixx will also start training students from the school. More information will be released on this topic when known.

It has also been confirmed that Erixx will start work at the next meeting with two new clients. Though details have to be confirmed, the company will also start work whenever possible with a housing association in Cardiff, details will be released on developments with this company whenever possible.

Employee of the term award goes to Haiden Albrow

Recently, the MD of Erixx decided to start a system where employees would be rewarded for their hard work and attitude they show towards the company. As this is a fairly new system within the company, this is the first time the award has been given to an employee.

At the last meeting of the term, the award was announced and given to Haiden Albrow, for his punctuality and good attitude to the company among other things.

From the next term, the award will be given to one employee monthly.

Company Meeting – 09/07/09

As the week before two members of the Erixx staff were away for work experiance, the team had an important sit-down meeting this week to discuss many issues that have arised within the company, with job roles being the main focus. Even though some had roles anyway, as new members have joined they have been changed. After each role has confirmed by Mr Kluth, it will become the member of staff’s official job title.

The team also discussed the staus with Welton Primary School, and we are happy to confirm the site is ready for server migration, which will be done at the start of a working week after we have registered a domain with hosting company 1 2 3 Reg so the DNS can be forwarded to our servers. We hope for it all to go to plan and smoothly.

We will also be enquiring about offering a web design course for students in the school, so the higher years can learn some skills that could help them with their ICT studies in secondary education.

Erixx is also pleased to confirm two new clients, both of which would like a complete website created and maintained. More news of development will be posted when they are confirmed.

The Company will soon be able to confirm more details of advertising, which include preparing presentations and publishing leaflets and dispaying them in high street stores.

04/06/09 Company Meeting

In this weekly meeting we discussed many things, including a new possible client for Erixx and the procedures the company would have to take out at Welton Primary School.

To make the customers experiance better for all of our new clients at Erixx, we are also planning to host sample sites that the customer can choose, which means choosing the design for a web site has just got that little bit more easier.

For advertisng purposes, we plan to launch a new campaign to make the general public more aware of our services. The campaign will hopefully start in time for the end of term in 6 about weeks.
